Nanette brings with her a wide range of professional experience given her diverse interests and her zeal to pursue her passions and what feels relevant to her aliveness. She did her Bachelors in Bio engineering at Purdue University and started her career as a Mmanagement and IT consultant with Andersen consulting. After a decade of various management roles in the IT industry, as result of her own healing work, Nanette decided to pursue a career in counseling and therapy.
She completed her graduate studies at California Institute of Integral Studies in 2009 in Somatic Therapy and is currently a licensed marriage and family therapist with a private practice in Berkeley. For over 10 years, Nanette has worked extensively in school settings to provide counselling to children and their families; and has conducted training on mindfulness and emotional intelligence for teachers, parents and students.
In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Nanette is passionate about bringing ecological and permaculture practices to her native land of Puerto Rico. She is the managing director and co-owner of Lazy Parrot Inn in Rincon, Puerto Rico. She is using her passion to transform this iconic inn in Rincon and use that as a platform to develop her vision for eco-centric healing, farming and hospitality; and to help revive the eco-agricultural industry in Puerto Rico.
Utilizing her diverse background, Nanette brings a wealth of experience and perspectives to serve Seeds and its communities.
