Krista is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters in Expressive Arts Therapy
from California Institute of Integral Studies. She has experience working therapeutically through play and the arts with children in under-resourced school-based communities and at grief
support groups and summer camps in the Bay Area.
She practices from a client-centered, trauma-informed and strengths-based approach while understanding that each child is part of larger systems. She believes that all children know exactly what they need and that we must open our minds to listen through metaphor and our senses, as well as their words. She believes that we must do our best to allow children to feel safe enough to explore their emotional experience in their own time. Personally, Krista’s yoga, swimming and arts practice allow her to be present in her own life while helping her to understand herself and the world around her.
