Katie first discovered the magic of summer camp when she attended an overnight camp in elementary school and has never stopped believing in the healing power of play in the outdoors. After working with children and teens in outdoor settings for several years, Katie decided to pursue a career in Social Work and earned her Masters in Clinical Social Work with Children, Youth and Families from Hunter College in 2014. She has spent the last four years working as a School Social Worker in New York City working with students and families to strengthening social and emotional skills and develop healthy coping strategies.
